PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE – REZONING REQUEST – SEPTEMBER 26, 2024

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE is hereby given by the Board of Supervisors of West Manchester Township, York County, PA, that a public hearing on a request to rezone a tract of land located along Baker Road will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. prevailing time.  The hearing will be held at the West Manchester Township offices, 380 East Berlin Road, York, PA 17408.  The request to rezone the tract of land in West Manchester Township has been filed by Gerald W. Lighty and Gerald W. Lighty, Executor of the Estate of Brian L. Lighty, 843 N. Sumner St., York, PA 17404.  The area requested to be rezoned involves unimproved agricultural land consisting of 48.60 acres along Baker Road in West Manchester Township, bearing UPI # 51-000-JG-0033-D0-00000.

The parcel in question is currently zoned Open Space Residential-1 Zone.  The request to rezone asks the Board of Supervisors to rezone the subject parcel to the R-1 Residential Zone.

A copy of the request to amend the zoning classification of the parcel of land may be examined without charge at the West Manchester Township offices, 380 East Berlin Road, York, PA 17408, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Interested citizens are invited to attend the hearing and offer testimony before the Board of Supervisors concerning the request to rezone the subject parcel of land.
