WMT Fire Departmart Receives $83,428.57 Fire Prevention Grant for Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detectors For Residents

The West Manchester Township Fire Department is proud to announce that we have received a $83,428.57 Fire Prevention & Safety Grant to provide combination smoke & carbon monoxide detectors to its residents through its smoke detector program.
These detectors contain a sealed-in lithium battery, so you never have to worry about changing the battery over the 10-year life of the alarm. All you need to do is remember to test them monthly.
As part of the program, you can request the WMTFD to come to your home and perform a Fire Safety Inspection as well as install the new smoke alarms for you. -OR- You may pick-up the smoke detectors up at the Township office if you wish to install them yourself.
As a reminder you should always have a detector on every level of your home including the basement and attic. You should also have a detector in each bedroom and outside your sleep areas.
For more information or to schedule an inspection & installation please contact the Fire Chief at the Township Office at 717-792-3505.
